** POSTNATAL ASSESSMENT **

A postnatal assessment ideal should be done from 6 weeks, but it’s never too late!! Once a women is postnatal, she’s ALWAYS postnatal. There are LASTING physiological changes from pregnancy and birth. Once postnatal, always postnatal.

Some of things I may cover in your postnatal assessment, depending on your complaints, history and concerns:
– pelvic floor (The main one, and it’s ALWAYS assessed, thoroughly!)
– Perineum assessment and care
-address any pain or discomfort
– bladder and bowel function and how to optimise both
-physiological changes from pregnancy and birth
– breathing
– posture
– tailored nutritional advice to meet the demands of your healing and highly demanded body, or to optimise your bladder and bowel function
-gut health /function
– sexual health
– wellbeing
– screening and a tailored plan to get you bag to exercise (if desired)
– vulva health
– breastfeeding
– and oodles of empowering you with tailored education to take care of your body!!!
