I ranked 85 clothing and shoe brands from worst to best in my Brand Guide. Find out which brands are still worth your money and which ones are zombies: https://herstyleaudit-guides.lovable.app
Eight clothing brands you grew up with are dead. The companies went bankrupt, the names were sold off, and new owners kept putting those labels on completely different products. This video covers all eight, including one that closed 175 stores just four months ago.
Almost all of these brands ended up owned by the same company: Authentic Brands Group. ABG now controls more than 50 brand names including Reebok, Brooks Brothers, Forever 21, and Barneys New York. They generate $38 billion in annual retail sales.
The label on the tag tells you nothing anymore. Read the maker, not the label.
